The Benedictine Health Foundation presents two major special fundraising events each year to benefit Benedictine Hospital. Proceeds from special events benefit programs including the Nursing Education Scholarship Fund and capital projects including the new Cancer Center. The Golf Tournament is held in June and the Gala Ball in December. On June 7th, a picture perfect day, close to 200 golfers enjoyed playing eighteen holes of golf at the beautiful Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland, to raise money for the Benedictine Health Foundation. Over $70,000 was raised to support important Hospital programs such as the Cancer Center, the Hospice/Palliative Care Unit and the Nursing Education Fund.
At the end of the day, players enjoyed a delicious barbeque dinner and the awarding of team and individual prizes. The day concluded with an exciting raffle with over 75 prizes from local businesses and restaurants.
