Pulmonary Function Testing

Pulmonary Function Testing provides diagnostic information about your lungs. This breathing test takes approximately 30 minutes and includes:

Pulmonary or Metabolic Stress Testing

Pulmonary or Metabolic Stress Testing is a treadmill or bike stress test designed to study how your heart and lungs work together. The tests takes approximately 1 1/4 hours, however you are only on the treadmill or bike for anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on how much you can do. A physician is always present for a Stress Test.

This test aids the physician in determining the proper exercise regimen for you. We measure your breathing by placing a mask over your mouth and nose. We also monitor your heart while you exercise.

Arterial Blood Gas

Arterial Blood Gas testing is a blood test designed to measure the acid-base balance and the oxygen and carbon dioxide content of your blood. Results are available for your doctor right away. Our lab also performs Carbon Monoxide Testing.

Pulse Oximetry

In Pulse Oximetry testing, we measure the amount of oxygen in your blood using infra-red light. It is not a blood test. We can simply and painlessly test whether your oxygen level is too low.
